  1. My 5 year old tried so hard to play with this for 20 min! Its extremely difficult (goes very fast, even on “beginner” setting). The poor kid ended up running out of the room in tears, pleading “Mom, please make Santa take this back!”

  2. My 5yr old recieved this for christmas. she is pretty well coordinated also. I was not familiar with dance revolution at all, although i know of the dance “mats” that are out there. So here is what happens, you lie this mat on the floor , plug it in, all easy. (so far) you choose a character to dance with, and a “level”. We went with basic at first. Up pops strawberry shortcake dancing on a disco dance floor, then these little arrows start scrolling up the screen, (these arrows are suppose to match the arrows found on the dance mat.) So the object is that as you see the arrows scroll up you step on the coordinating arrow. The characters do their own dance and turns, so your child cannot follow them. My dd caught on after a few times and me showing her and pointing to the arrows, but the music really stinks, you really have to listen to catch the tune. She also said to me “mommy this isn’t dancing, i’m just stepping on arrows” ::::shrug::::: in the end she acts silly , tries stepping on the correct arrows and loves the fact it is strawberry shortcake. Honestly i think she would have like a dance video better and just followed that. i’m glad it was a gift and i didn’t waste $20 bucks on it. So i gave it 3 and 2 starts simply because my kids are just having fun being silly with it.

  3. I love it. I have a 6 year old, and she loves to dance, so I thought this would be a great way for her to stay in shape, and have fun!

  4. Everything was going well for my four year old when the system shut down on the 4th song. New batteries and different AV connections to the other 5 open ports on my TV left me feeling like I had a lemon. I took it back and exchanged it for another brand new one. This time it took one song and it zonked out…AGAIN.

Unreliable and not built to withstand a 4 year old girl??? What gives?!

My system is being returned for good. This absolutely was the worst product I’ve ever purchased regardless of the price!

  5. My 7 1/2 year old bought this with a gift card. I discouraged her because it said it was for age 4 and up and I thought she was too old for Strawberry Shortcake. She just loves it. It is still difficult for her, but she is getting the hang of it and all of her 1st grade friends love it too. The babysitters really enjoy it too. There is no way she could have done this at 4. I would not buy this for kids younger than 6. You will be disappointed. Buy the younger kids the Smart Cycle. It is a blast and they get some exercise!!
