So i don't recommend getting two of these cause i did and you can't use them both at the same time. They are a bit finiky You have to plug them in after the game has loaded and there MUST be a contoller in the first slot or the dance pad goes psycho and you cant do squat, but if one person wants to dance while annother uses the controller they work perfectly fine, as long as you ajust the mat every song.

For some reason, with the email demands being made by Amazon.com, I feel the need to clarify the star ratings I have given to the Dance Dance Revolution Flash Pad, even though I simply wanted to drop by, leave a star rating, and continue onto something else.
Anyway, onto clarification.
The toy, from what I have seen, brings about much enjoyment, but nothing revolutionary.
There's a lot of jumping around and the memorizing of techno pop songs, however none of these songs contain math problems or history lessons. Yet, there must be something said for the hand to eye... or rather eye to foot coordination going on.
The toys purpose is to be jumped around on, therefore it is probably made to withstand this. I don't want to sound cynical, but the business side of me asks, "for how long."
Overall, the toy did what it was intended to do, provide hours of ludicrous fun dancing and jumping around.
On a further note, it was a gift for a college graduate, so I wasn't too concerned with its educational impact.

Kids can play and be active. My 10-year old has so much fun dancing to the tunes. Our previous mat stopped working for some reason (teenagers probably did something to it) so we bought this one to replace. It's been great! I guess the key to preserving it, would be storing it somewhere safe.

Buy an extra pad, so contests can be played or competition on who can get through the dance without any mistakes.

It is very, very fun when you first get it. After 2 weeks of using it, you don't use it as much and it's not as fun. Well, most girls would continue playing and not get bored. One bad thing about it is that sometimes the sensor inside gets mest up and you have to wave it out to fix it. It's probably better if you buy this item for a girl.
